About Me
Hello! I'm Shanelle, a Year 3 student pursuing my Diploma in Design for User Experience at RP. I am intensely focused on creating intuitive and empathetic digital experiences, with a core strength in translating user research into practical, engaging interfaces. My studies also incorporate principles from AutoCAD, Fusion, Figma and Adobe XD for prototyping, user flows, and design systems. It has allowed me to enhance my ability to think critically about system-level design and interaction.
Growing up, my grandfather was one of my greatest sources of inspiration. For over 45 years, he worked at the zoo caring for Ah Meng and supporting multiple sectors, where his commitment to animal welfare, responsibility, and empathy deeply influenced me. Seeing his passion up close taught me the value of understanding needs beyond the surface and taking compassionate, meaningful action.
This empathetic approach is reinforced by my personal life; I am a passionate traveler and actively volunteer with animal welfare organisations, experiences that deepen my understanding of diverse needs and the importance of impactful action. Driven by a user-centered, iteration-driven philosophy, I am passionate about tackling complex problems and designing products that genuinely enrich user lives. I'm actively seeking opportunities to apply and grow my skills within the UX field.
